STAFF RECOGNITION AWARD – CARING 2016
Our special needs bus driver, Marsha Moore was presented with the Caring – Staff Recognition Award by Jeff Snell. She was recognized for her work with our special needs students; for fostering a culture of encouragement and celebrates success at all levels—enabling a climate of mutual respect and inspired learning. Congratulations Marsha!
TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY 2016
We hosted our annual “Take Your Child to Work Day”. Students rode with their parent on the bus route, toured the bus shop and were given opportunities to ask questions of the mechanics. They worked on transportation related crafts and worksheets. We toured the fuel dock, talked about the bus wash, and performed a pre-trip inspection with bus driver Tina. They were introduced to our office staff and learned what duties they perform.
They finished up the day with a potluck, and each student received a certificate, bus pin, and a goody bag. It was our pleasure to be able to share what we do with the children and grandchildren of our staff.
Substitute Bus Drivers Needed
Camas School District is hiring substitute bus drivers. We train here at our facility. Please read the attached flyer for more information. If you are interested, please give us a call at 833-5585 if you have questions. An application must be completed online at www.camas.wednet.edu. Once the app is completed we will be able to pull your name to be considered for training.

School Board Recognizes Tina Damon
The Camas School District Board of Directors recently recognized Tina Damon for her quick thinking and calm demeanor after the school bus she was driving was broadsided by a car at a high rate of speed. Though obviously shaken, she put the safety and wellbeing of the students on board first.
Congratulations Tina, you truly are the best of the best.
