Energy conservation program helps district achieve Energy Star status at all schools
Lacamas Heights Elementary School and Woodburn Elementary School have joined the ranks of the now ten Camas school buildings by earning the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star certification.
The Camas School District implemented a comprehensive energy management plan that has reduced its total energy consumption by 20% during the past five years, As a result, Camas has achieved the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star® symbol of environmental excellence at all ten schools in the district. The Energy Star® award for Lacamas Heights Elementary School and Woodburn Elementary School will be presented during the November 10, 2014, School Board meeting.
