It is time for Skyridge track participants to signup! Track practices begin on Monday, March 31 at 3 PM. All paperwork is due by Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Track is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Students who have not participated in a sport yet this year will need to submit a completed Athletic and Medical Emergency Authorization Form; current physical (within the last 18 months); and Concussion Form. Participants are also required to have an ASB card ($25) and paid participation fee ($30). All paperwork and fees must be received in the main office prior to participating. The forms can be printed from this website (under the athletics tab above) or picked up from the main office. Students who have already participated in any other sport this year do not need to turn in a new set of forms. They do need to come to the main office between 9 AM – 1 PM to talk with Mrs. Button and pay their $30 participation fee.
With Friday, February 14, being a school attendance day and also Valentine’s Day, please note that balloons and flowers are NOT permitted in classrooms nor on buses. Some students and staff may have allergic reactions which can be life threatening. DO NOT bring any of these items to school for delivery to students. Thank you for supporting us in providing a safe environment for everyone!

This Friday, February 14, will be a makeup day for Camas School District as established by the CSD 2013-14 calendar. Any additional weather makeup days will be added to the end of the school year.
Camas schools will close 3 hours early today due to inclement weather. There will be no PM Kindergarten, PM Preschool, or afternoon/evening activities (this includes all athletic events and practices). Students will be released from Skyridge at 11:45 AM today after having lunch. The scheduled parent information meeting for travel to Poland which was scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled.
Knowledge Bowl is kind of like a team Jeopardy competition. Our Knowledge Bowl team consists of 3 or more smaller teams which compete against other teams from neighboring schools. Trivia topics include math, science, history, English and social studies. Practice begins on Monday, February 3, and will be held Monday-Thursday from 3:15-4:00 PM in Room 206. Make sure you have your paperwork turned into Mrs. Button in our main office before participating.
That’s right – the CEF Auction never sleeps. Believe it or not, preparations for the 2014 Auction are well underway. In fact, the date and venue have already been secured, but one piece is missing: a co-chair for the committee. Or maybe we should say a dynamic co-chairing duo. Three-year alum Mandy Huth has committed to co-chairing this year’s auction in a supporting role, but she needs a person who will take over the reins. If you have been looking for a good way to get seriously involved in fundraising in Camas, this may be the job for you! See this job description for more detail about what’s involved, and contact Mandy at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are at all curious.
Here at Skyridge we are fortunate to have an incredible PTO that support our students and staff in countless ways throughout the school year!
Their efforts include, but are not limited to, various fundraisers providing annual PTO grants to Skyridge which directly support student learning, providing spirit wear purchase opportunities, volunteering throughout the year for school and classroom events and activities, supporting our athletic and extracurricular activities programs, providing staff appreciation treats and recognition, and providing classroom supplies mid-year. This year they took on improving our large front entry planters and are supporting a native garden project which is currently being developed.
If you would like to get involved, please send an email to email@example.com and get connected
with other Skyridge parents, staff and students!
