NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY POSTER CONTEST
It’s time for the annual National School Bus Safety Poster Contest! The 2018 theme is “My School Bus, The Safest Form of Student Transportation!” In previous years, one of our students won at State and moved on to compete at the national level for designing a winning poster.
Although there are specific district and state deadlines, the national poster contest deadline is October 1, 2018. Here are a few important notes for your poster entry:
> The mail courier will pick up posters from each school’s office on the morning of May 4.
> Secure your entry form to the back of the poster.
> Submit your poster flat, not folded.
There are 4 contest divisions: Division #1 – Grades K-2; Division #2 – Grades 3-5; Division #3 – Grade 6-8; and Division #4 – Special Education (K-12).
Winning posters at the district level will advance to the regional competition. The regional division winners will receive $50 and advance to compete at state. The state division winners will receive $50 and will be entered into the national competition for an opportunity to win $50 – $500 and have their poster represent 2019 National School Bus Safety Week.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our students’ wonderful and creative posters! *Artwork that does not meet guidelines will be disqualified; please take note and follow all rules.*
