CEF Auction Chair needed

That’s right – the CEF Auction never sleeps. Believe it or not, preparations for the 2014 Auction are well underway. In fact, the date and venue have already been secured, but one piece is missing: a co-chair for the committee. Or maybe we should say a dynamic co-chairing duo. Three-year alum Mandy Huth has committed to co-chairing this year’s auction in a supporting role, but she needs a person who will take over the reins.  If you have been looking for a good way to get seriously involved in fundraising in Camas, this may be the job for you! See this job description for more detail about what’s involved, and contact Mandy at cefcamas@gmail.com  if you are at all curious.

CEF Auction Tickets Available Now!

The annual Camas Educational Foundation Auction will take place on Saturday, October 15, at Camas’ own Fairgate Inn, right behind Dorothy Fox Elementary. The event includes a silent and live auction as well as live entertainment. You can register for the Auction at Camas Education Foundation.  If you can’t attend, but would like to buy a raffle ticket or make a donation, you can do that there as well.

It is the Battle of the Middle School Principals!

Come see Aaron Smith, Skyridge Principal, take on Marilyn Boerke, Liberty Principal, in the second annual Camas Iron Chef event! Both teams will include a professional chef and our own variety of local celebrities. This Camas Educational Foundation fundraiser will take place at Camas Meadows on April 27 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30, and seating is limited. Register online at the CEF web site http://www.cefcamas.org/.

CEF Phone-a-thon success!

The Camas Educational Foundation hosted the 10th annual Phone-a-thon the first week of March. With the help of students from Liberty, Skyridge and the CHS Key Club, CEF raised well over $14,000. Due to the snow days during the event, students may have been unable to reach you. If you would like to support CEF with a donation, you may do so securely on the CEF website www.cefcamas.org.

CEF is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that raises money to support curriculum in all Camas schools through teacher grants. Over $25,000 was awarded throughout the schools this February in mini-grants and another $25,000 will be awarded this May in major grants. All thanks to the generosity of people like you.
