2012 Boundary Review
Gymnastics Camp for Girls
Do you like to flip, jump and dance all around? On Saturday, March 17, 2012, Hayden Sutton will be holding a gymnastics camp for girls in grades K-5 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The camp will cost $25 and will need to be paid through Camas High School’s ASB by mail or dropped off. All campers must bring a sack lunch and water bottle. Also, it’s recommended to wear a leotard and gym shorts but it’s not required; Shorts and t-shirts will work perfectly fine.
The great thing about this camp is that you don’t need any experience! Everyone is welcome come out and try. Also, on the following Wednesday after the camp (Wednesday, March 21, 2012) there will be a performance for the new gymnasts to reveal all they have learned for family and friends. T-shirts will be provided and the performance will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thanks, I am very excited for my senior project to begin, and for all to sign up!

Inclement weather makeup day
This is a reminder that February 17, 2012, is a built-in inclement weather makeup day on our district calendar. Since January 18 was declared a snow day, students will attend school on February 17. For kindergarteners, this will be a regular AM/PM Friday.
In the event that we experience another closure due to inclement weather, the next scheduled makeup day would be May 25. Any additional days inclement weather makeup days would occur at the end of the school yea
Winter Weather Information
As winter weather approaches we think about school schedule changes. In the event of a school closure or delay, the district will launch an emergency notification alert which will send a recorded message via primary phone to every parent in the district when schools are delayed or cancelled. You will receive this call at approximately 6:00 AM. The information is also available through local news media and the district website. Please notify the school o!ce immediately if your child has a different-than-normal emergency plan in the event school closes early for any reason. Your child must have an emergency plan in place (and the office notified of the plan) if he/she is to do something other than his/her regular dismissal routine.
NOTE: Snow routes are not the same as 2-hour late starts. If you live on a snow route, you have already been notified by the Transportation Department.
In the event of a 2-hour late start on any Wednesday, all elementary schools will dismiss at 3:30 instead of 1:10.
Veteran’s Day Assembly
Lacamas honored their Veterans on Wednesday, November 9th with an assembly. Students and staff were asked to bring photos of family and friends who are Veterans. The program started off with a heartwarming slide show of these special people. The choir sang and students gave a short history of the different branches of service. Visiting Veterans came forward as the the school sang patriotic songs.
