March 3-7 is Dr. Seuss Week for Lacamas! Students and staff will have plenty to do to celebrate Dr. Seuss. Classes will be reading Dr. Seuss books, making book marks, sharing tongue twisters, and much more. As a whole school we have several days planned to help us celebrate this American author. On Monday we’ll enjoy “Green Eggs and Ham” during lunch. Wednesday, we’ll have fun with a Dr. Seuss Trivia Game during our Character Education Assembly. Also on Wednesday, we’ll show our spirit with a Red/Black/White color day. Finally, to wrap up our week, we’ll end our day on Friday with the whole school reading! So pull out those Dr. Seuss favorites and get ready for a fun filled week!

That’s right – the CEF Auction never sleeps. Believe it or not, preparations for the 2014 Auction are well underway. In fact, the date and venue have already been secured, but one piece is missing: a co-chair for the committee. Or maybe we should say a dynamic co-chairing duo. Three-year alum Mandy Huth has committed to co-chairing this year’s auction in a supporting role, but she needs a person who will take over the reins. If you have been looking for a good way to get seriously involved in fundraising in Camas, this may be the job for you! See this job description for more detail about what’s involved, and contact Mandy at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are at all curious.
