Principal

Hello!

I am very excited to begin the school year at Helen Baller Elementary School. I look forward to meeting the kids and hearing about their summer adventures and to see how they have grown.

This year will be full of learning and fun. Below you will find a few of the beliefs we hold at Helen Baller about teaching and learning.

At Helen Baller we believe kids come first! We strive to create a learning environment where kids want to come to school because they feel safe, valued, are engaged and having fun while learning. We have high academic and behavioral expectations for all of our students.

The Helen Baller staff is committed to providing quality academic programs. We strive to collaboratively meet the needs of all our students. Classroom teachers are supported by reading and math specialists, learning support teachers and ELL teachers. We offer music education, physical education, library and media classes, as well as a fully functional computer lab.

Everybody at Helen Baller is responsible for knowing and living by the common behavior expectations, The Baller Big Three, of being responsible, respectful and safe. In addition, we teach the children the six Pillars of Character which are being trustworthy, responsible, respectful, fairness, caring and demonstrating citizenship. The behavior expectations and six Pillars of Character are posted around the school and taught to the students throughout the year. The Helen Baller staff is committed to creating a positive school climate that fosters cooperation, academic excellence, respect and safety.

Lastly, it is an honor to be at such a great school with supportive parents and community. I would like to say thanks in advance to the parents and community members for helping to support and enhance our children’s educations. We believe it is imperative to have a partnership with all community members. Working together, we can provide a rich learning environment where all students can learn and be successful. Thank you for all that you do.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the Helen Baller office at 833-5720.
