Student Clubs
Clubs are are great way for students to be actively involved with their school community and connect with other students. Students at Hayes can participate in our clubs as well as clubs at Camas High School if we do not offer it at Hayes. Below are the current clubs we have at Hayes:
ASB: ASB is a great way to be involved with your school. Help plan activities and events as well as be community ambassadors for Hayes Freedom. Contact kyle.keefe@camas.wednet.edu for more information.
Yearbook: Do you like writing articles, taking photos, interviewing people or using your creativity? If so, yearbook might be a perfect fit for you. Contact Kelley.Johnson@camas.wednet.edu for more information.
Renegade Debate Society: If you answer yes to any of the following questions, this club might become your new virtual home. Are you calm and rational, yet passionate about issues? Has someone ever asked you why you care so much about a particular issue? Taking Steps Forward: This club focuses on getting you up and moving while making the world a better place! We’ll be using the Pokémon Go app to track our activity. For our community focus, we’ll be participating in the Trex school challenge by recycling plastic bags and plastic films (wraps). As a BONUS, if you meet our club distance goals, you can earn .5 credits towards CTE or PE – whichever you need most. Click HERE to learn more.

SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance): This club is a student led group that focuses on the social and educational diversity that is part of the Hayes Freedom community. Students gather together in one collective voice for events that promote acceptance of all students.
Modern Band: Interested in music in general? Want to be in a band, be a solo artist or play an instrument? Maybe you just like writing musical lyrics….this club could be for you. Come join the fun.

Gaming Club: Attention gamers of all flavors … Hayes Freedom has a game club! Meeting on Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, everyone is welcome to join the fun! Whether you’re Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, PC … love Super Smash, MineCraft, an old school game of chess, D&D, Magic the Gathering, or Pokémon … our club has a spot for you. New to gaming? Want to learn how to play a game? Join us and get started on a new adventure!
