Jazz Bassist and Vocalist, Kristin Korb visited Grass Valley Jazz Choir students on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Grass Valley students had the opportunity to listen and watch Kristin during their monthly assembly in the cafeteria.
She commented how delightful and engaging her audience was!
Thank you, Kristin Korb, for sharing your talents with Grass Valley students and staff!
Grass Valley was represented by Victoria Alberty, Faith Witarsa, Esther Doyle, Audrey Miller, Julianna Martinez, Miya Armstrong and Megan Jones who performed in the LCRMEA (Lower Columbia River Music Educators Association) Elementary Honor Choir last Saturday, along with 120 other students in our league. They rehearsed with guest director Darcy Morrissey from Bothell. Not only did they perform wonderfully, they represented Grass Valley at the highest level with their preparation, attitude and behavior on and off the stage.
Grass Valley Students have the amazing opportunity to spend time with children’s advocate and award-winning author Trudy Ludwig. Trudy has been featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” PBS’s nationally syndicated show “Keeping Kids Healthy,” the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Reading Rainbow and the National Crime Prevention Council’s Circle of Respect program. She has served as an expert panel member on Sesame Workshop’s video series addressing bullying. Parents are welcome to attend one of the two assemblies.
