If you have an incoming kindergartener, please consider coming to our school campus for a parent information session to learn ALL the things that will impact you and your future fox in September!

WHO:  Parents of incoming kinders (student orientation event will be held in August)

WHAT DO I DO TO GET ONTO MY ZOOM CLASS AT 8:00am?

When students log into their Chromebook, a screen will automatically show with some easy links.  At Fox, you should look for a link for your morning ZOOM meeting on this first page.  Then you will see a button for the On Demand Activities you will do during the day.  Some students will be ready to click on the Seesaw App (K-2) or the Google Classroom App (3-5) which will also have links.

WHAT IF THAT DOES NOT WORK?

Dorothy Fox wants to build on success and flexibility during the first week but we have to build an on ramp to get everyone up to speed these first few days.  If the district device is not working correctly or there is confusion, we have sent the links to each parent in ParentSquare.  To help your student participate in the first days, you can log on with a private phone, tablet, or computer as a back up.  This will help the student to access the material and buy some time for the family to ask for help or get instruction from the teacher.  By the second week of school, we want to have all the bumps smoothed out and students fully using their district device.

HOW DO I GET TO THE ON DEMAND LEARNING THE FIRST WEEK?

Click on this button to get to the Orientation Activities and Specialist Blocks the first three days of school.  This button is also available on the screen right when the student logs into their district Chromebook.  This will give time for us to work out the bugs.  Starting week two, students will be logging into Seesaw and Google Classroom to get their links and assignments.

The Dorothy Fox Staff will be coming to your neighborhood in a Car Caravan tomorrow, Friday, April 17th.

It will start at 2:00pm from the school and follow the map attached.

We can’t wait to wave and smile at our students.  We have missed you!

We want everyone to be safe and show the Fox Four:

•  Stay 6 feet apart from others.  Only be close to people in your family.
•  All social distancing rules apply.
•  Stay out of the road at all times.
•  Do not approach the cars
•  If it is not coming down your street, you can come to a nearby street in your car and wave from your window.
•  If you walk up to the parade route, you must stay away from others.
•  Stay home if you feel sick.  We will take lots of photos/videos and you will still be able to see it.

We would love to collect your photos of the event to put in our video for all the other families.  Please send videos or clips of the caravan to cathy.sork@camas.wednet.edu.

This is a Kindness “Beegins” with Me community project to support the pollinators in the area sponsored by the PTA. We are looking for Dorothy Fox kids to plant the bee friendly flower seeds that were sent home on Friday 9/6/19.   We are applying for a Disney grant for our auction and we need to send them photos of students Beeing Kind to the Bees in action!

Please email the pictures to the PTA at ptadorothyfox@gmail.com.  The deadline to send in pictures is September 21^st.
